its internet-based services under the control of a range
of strict but fair policies, which
allow us to take a fair and reasonable view of each customer’s
situation, whilst protecting our business from fraudulent
and unscrupulous activities.
PRIVACY POLICY
CWDG may collect, store
and use the following kinds of personal data:
1. Information
about the Customer’s computer and about
Customer’s visits to and use of the CWDG website (including,
but not limited to, the IP address, geographical location,
browser type, referral source, length of visit and number
of page views);
2. Information relating
to any transactions carried out between the Customer and CWDG
on or in relation
to the CWDG website,
including information relating to any purchases you make
of CWDG goods or services (including, but not limited to,
the
Customer’s
name, email address, contact numbers, goods or services
purchased and date of transaction);
3. Information that
the Customer may provide to CWDG for
the purpose of registering with CWDG (including, but
not limited
to, the Customer’s full name, postal address, email
address and other contact information);
4. Information
that the Customer provides to CWDG for the purpose
of subscribing to our website services, email
notifications
and/or newsletters (including, but not limited to,
the Customer’s
email address & full name);
5. Any other information
that the Customer chooses to send to CWDG.
CWDG will
not share this personal data with any third parties unless
required to do so by UK Law.
CWDG strongly advocates
the protection of privacy and personal data. CWDG will not
store any of the
above
information where it is not entirely necessary
to do so. The Customer
may request
the removal of any of the Customer’s data
by contacting CWDG. CWDG will endeavour to remove
any requested information,
whilst also suspending or closing any relevant
service accounts where operation of those accounts
is dependant upon specific
items of Customer personal data which are being
removed. If the Customer believes
that information held by CWDG on the Customer is incorrect,
the Customer may contact CWDG requesting
the correction.
PRIVACY POLICY RELATED TO FINANCIAL DETAILS STORAGE
Where CWDG is required
to store sensitive information about our clients or our dealings
with our clients, CWDG will
store the
information in a secured database with very restricted
access.
Only authorised members
of staff, and authorised machines,
will have access to this information.
CWDG does not currently store credit / debit card or
other financial details.
Any time that CWDG requests
Customer
financial details,
CWDG will do so for the purpose of creating a single
transaction, and will ensure that all communication
is fully encrypted.
Sensitive information
of this nature requested via the ‘http’ protocol
will only be requested when utilising “Secure
Socket Layer” encryption.
The Customer should
check that the web-browser is accessing the webpage beginning
with https:// and
that a padlock
icon is displayed
within the application.
CWDG will provide Customer
details to the credit card merchant, who will
authorise those
details and
perform the transaction on behalf of CWDG. There may be
occasions when CWDG will collect payment details over
the telephone. During this process, CWDG
will provide
Customer details to the credit card merchant, who will

details and perform the transaction on behalf of CWDG.
CWDG currently utilises PayPal as the credit card merchant
for the purposes of collecting payment via credit or
debit cards.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Customer orders placed
online for all products are considered to be complete and final
at the time of
purchase, and
may not be cancelled, except in exceptional circumstances
at
the discretion
of CWDG.
REFUND POLICY
A full
refund for a tangible product (such as clothing, books and
souvenirs), including the cost of
shipping, will only
be provided by CWDG to a customer on receipt
by CWDG of reasonable evidence that a product was damaged
prior
to
shipping to
the
customer, or was damaged in transit to the
customer due to inadequate packaging materials.
A full
refund for an intangible product (such as payment for a Prepaid
Service Account,
or payment against a
Postpaid Service
Account) will only be provided to a customer
on receipt of reasonable evidence that
-
1) a payment was made
by the customer to the CWDG Paypal account, but the phonecard
or account
was not updated,
either manually
or automatically within a reasonable
period
of time
2) duplicate payments were made by the
customer to the CWDG Paypal account due
to incorrect
operation of the
internet services, where reasonable evidence
can be provided that
the customer’s
intent was to make only a single payment. No
refund will be provided by CWDG where
a customer has purchased a FonePlus phonecard
or other Prepaid
account
and has then
proceeded to use the Prepaid Services,
and in doing so has consumed the
purchased value on the FonePlus phonecard
or
other Prepaid account.
RETURN POLICY
Return
of a tangible product (such as clothing, books and souvenirs)
by the
Customer will
only be accepted
by CWDG
after a request
has been received by CWDG from the
Customer, and on receipt by CWDG of reasonable
evidence that a product
was damaged
prior to shipping to the customer,
or was damaged in transit to the
customer due to inadequate packaging
materials.
No “return” is
permissable of an intangible product
(such as
payment for a Prepaid
Service
Account, or payment against
a Postpaid Service Account).
DELIVERY POLICY
Delivery of a tangible
product (such as clothing, books and
souvenirs) to
the Customer
will
be effected by
CWDG via appropriate
methods
of shipping from either Diego
Garcia via airmail or from other sources
of inventory
via airmail
or courier
services.
Delivery of an intangible
product (such as payment for a Prepaid
Service Account,
or
payment against a
Postpaid
Service
Account)
will be effected via either
manual or automatical means
within a
reasonable period of time,
but usually within
five minutes
of the online payment being
completed.
MODIFICATION OF THIS POLICY
Cable & Wireless reserves the right to change this policy
from time to time.
